We are seeking an organized, relationship-focused Industry Coordinator to support front-line outreach and day-to-day engagement with contractors, industry partners, and other stakeholders. This is a hands-on, external-facing role for someone who enjoys building rapport, following through, keeping details organized, and helping people stay connected to programs, events, and sector priorities.

What you will do

  • Build and maintain strong day-to-day relationships with contractors and partners to understand needs, challenges, and emerging issues
  • Document and summarize feedback from outreach and engagement activities for internal follow-up
  • Support Sector Council and other industry-engagement activities, including meeting coordination, event logistics, participation tracking, and follow-up
  • Track outreach activity, engagement touchpoints, assigned leads, contractor onboarding, and participation data
  • Support administrative and contract processes as needed under the direction of the Manager, Industry Engagement

Required qualifications

  • Postsecondary education in a relevant field such as communications, business administration, environmental studies, public policy, or a related discipline. Relevant experience in lieu of education may be considered.
  • At least 2 years of experience in coordination, stakeholder engagement, outreach, member services, program support, or a related role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Friendly, professional relationship-building style and strong customer-service instincts
  • High attention to detail, solid organization, and strong follow-through
  • Ability to lift/carry event equipment up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting while contributing proactively to a small team
  • Willingness and ability to travel within British Columbia

Preferred assets

  • Experience working with committees, community groups, contractors, or industry stakeholders
  • Experience in construction, energy efficiency, housing, or related sectors
  • Experience supporting events, conferences, or trade-show participation
  • Public speaking confidence is an asset, but not required
  • Lived experience in rural, northern, remote, or underserved communities in British Columbia, or demonstrated understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing those communities
